PNC Carousel

Dear Robert,

Spring is here, and that means Schenley Plaza is bustling with activity! Come down to Oakland’s oasis and enjoy lunchtime music, Kids Days, concerts, and other free activities. Stop by the kiosks for a bite to eat, or check out the new full-service restaurant, The Porch at Schenley.

A visit to Schenley Plaza wouldn’t be complete without a ride on the PNC Carousel, which opens this Saturday, April 14 at noon. The Victorian-style carousel features a menagerie of animals and old-fashioned pipe organ music, and is wheelchair accessible. Operating hours are 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., seven days a week through mid-October.

And don’t forget – if you’d like to ride all summer without tokens, get your Carousel Family Season Pass for only $25. The pass allows two adults and up to four children to ride the carousel at one time and is good for the entire 2012 season. Visit pittsburghparks.org/carouselpass for more information and to purchase your family pass.
