Subject: Would you like to serve on the AMD Board of Directors

Hi Fred,

You are doing great things at Highland Park Tennis Club and I’d very much like you to join the AMD Board of Directors.

No heavy lifting. We meet 3 or 4 times a year and exchange a lot of ideas through e-mail.

I think you could help the game of tennis and HPTC by joining our board.

Give me a call at 412-781-9463 and we can talk more about it if you wish.

Tom Benic AMD President

Player to Player

Please send Stephen advice on how to play against the lob

This week’s question from Stephen:
A good friend of mine is in a USTA women’s league and she regularly plays in various local USTA tournaments. There is another player she frequently competes against, including the first round of last week-end’s Turkey Trot tournament, and is very frustrated by the fact this particular opponent plays a total lob strategy. All her lobs are very deep, always in, and my friend and some of the other players in this league are very frustrated by this lob strategy, not to mention it makes for a very dull match. How does someone who is roughly a 4.0 to 4.5 level player attack such a deep, consistent lob strategy?
Please share your advice with Stephen by e-mailing Player@USTA.com and include your name and hometown.
